world communionOur second Panel of Proclamation will take place on Sunday, October 13th. Please join us at coffee hour after the 11 a.m. service as we hear from our summer reflection speakers on their experience of proclaiming God’s word to the congregation. Pick up a copy of their homilies at the back of the church or in the Parish Hall to refresh your minds of questions you may have.

Each Sunday evening at 7 pm there is a Service of Meditations and Sacrament in the Sanctuary. This special service of chant, interfaith readings and communion will be an interesting addition to our spiritual formation and for those who are looking for a time of respite to bring closure and new birth to their week.

Bible Study continues every Monday night from 7:00 to 8:00 pm in the Parish Hall. Providing food for thought all week, this lay-led group reads and discusses the Gospel reading for the coming Sunday.

Last Sunday Mother Shelley reminded us that the first Sunday in October is World Communion Sunday which originated in the Presbyterian Church USA in 1936 but is now observed by many denominations. On this day we celebrate our oneness in Christ in the midst of the world we are called to serve.
