This Sunday, September 8, the 11 o’clock service returns to the sanctuary with the Ascension choir and special service music (see sidebar). The 9 o’clock service is at the Side Altar. On September 11th, the church will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for special prayer and meditation in remembrance of our city and in hope of peace.

For the 3rd Sunday in Pentecost, the Day1 radio program and podcast invited the Rev. Shelley McDade, Ascension’s interim pastor, to its Atlanta, Georgia, studios. Mark provides counseling and crisis management to college students and also consults with faculty and staff. Fr.
