Advent Quiet Day, December 9, 2017The Advent Quiet Day will be led by Mtr. Posey Krakowsky and meet from 10:30am to 3pm on Saturday, December 9 in the Parish Hall (12 West 11th Street). Please join us for a day of quiet reflection as we enter a season of waiting for the celebration of Christmas – the time of God’s joyous inbreaking into our world. As winter approaches, and the busy times of the holidays can seem rushed and hectic, this is a chance to intentionally slow down and listen — to stillness, to the hush of the natural world, and to God. We will work with both scriptures and contemporary writing, using lectio divina as well as periods of silence. Please bring a bag lunch – coffee, juice and snacks will be available. Suggested donation is $10. For more information, or to register, please email motherposey@ascensionnyc.org, or call the church office at (212) 254-8620.
