trinity 2June 15th we will celebrate Trinity Sunday: 9am Holy Eucharist in All Saints Chapel; 11am Holy Eucharist in the church with sermon, music & choir; 7pm Service of Meditations and Sacrament including chant, interfaith readings and communion. Special music by soloist and prelude (10:45am) and postlude on The Manton Memorial organ. In honor of Trinity Sunday, Mother Shelley and Father Ed will blend their homiletical voices with a Tandem Proclamation! From the pulpit and the lectern they will move by turns through the gospel lesson for Trinity Sunday, sharing their thoughts on teaching, preaching, pastoring and some others of the many ways God acts in the world.

In this week’s newsletter, the rector explores the gospel story of Nicodemus, a religious leader who comes to Jesus under cover of night, seeking yet fearful. Jesus speaks mysteriously of being “born from above” and compares the Spirit to wind that “blows where it chooses” — confounding Nicodemus but stirring something deeper. Mother Liz invites us to notice where the Spirit-wind is blowing in our own Lenten journey, making space for uncertainty and tentative steps toward transformation.
