Each year Ascension parishioners participate in the The Children’s Aid Toy Drive at the New York Marriott Marquis. Toys are being collected from Wednesday, 12/ 4, through Wednesday 12/18. Children’s Aid will distribute the toys to each of the children on an individual basis. The Church of the Ascension will also be making toy donations to this worthy cause. A basket will be set up in The Parish Hall for the toy collection. If you would like to make a donation of a new, unwrapped toy, please drop it off in the basket, by Sunday, December 15. Quoting Robin Wall Kimmerer, the rector reminds us that “when we work to heal the earth, the earth heals us,” and invites us to deepen our love and commitment to our fragile, beautiful planet.
