This Sunday, August 19, 2018, the 11am service will take place in the air-conditioned Parish Hall. During the summer months on warmer Sundays the 11am service will take place there. Watch here or in the weekly email for updates. On those days you may enter through the front door of the church on Fifth Avenue or the Parish Hall door at 12 West 11th Street, just west of Fifth Avenue. The 9am and 7pm services will continue to take place in the church. As the thermometer moves up and down over the summer, the clergy and staff will make a decision midweek as to the location of the 11 a.m. service and provide updates.

Parish News: May 24
In this week’s newsletter, the rector notes Pentecost’s reversal of Babel—not by restoring a single language, but by enabling understanding across difference as each speaks and hears in their own tongue. She treasures hearing parishioners read “God’s deeds of power” in many languages during worship, and invites us to consider what it means to speak of God in our own heart language—whether shaped by mother tongue, place, trust, or profound shared experience. In a time of contempt for difference, Pentecost reveals the blessing of many tongues and the Holy Spirit’s gift of mutual understanding across culture, faith, and ethnic background.
