How can Ascension develop our ministry with children and families? All parents are invited to meet with Mother Liz and Shana Kaplanov on June 10th following the 11 am service. Whether your children are in Sunday school or not, we’d love to hear what’s working and what isn’t, how we can enhance our ministry with families and what you would love to be doing at church and beyond. Please let Mother Liz know you are coming; we’ll have childcare and order some pizza. We hope to see you here before people scatter for the summer. We are cooking up some ways to support kids and families in our services during the summer, and welcome your thoughts about that as well.

Parish News: May 24
In this week’s newsletter, the rector notes Pentecost’s reversal of Babel—not by restoring a single language, but by enabling understanding across difference as each speaks and hears in their own tongue. She treasures hearing parishioners read “God’s deeds of power” in many languages during worship, and invites us to consider what it means to speak of God in our own heart language—whether shaped by mother tongue, place, trust, or profound shared experience. In a time of contempt for difference, Pentecost reveals the blessing of many tongues and the Holy Spirit’s gift of mutual understanding across culture, faith, and ethnic background.
