Volunteers Needed for Ascension Outreach Food Pantry! We need a little more help during the summer months; the dates are 2nd & 4th Saturdays, July 23, August 13 & 27. We gather around 7:30-8:00 am and finish around 10am, depending on the number of volunteers to pack food bags. If you can assist on one or more Saturdays, contact Fr. Ed at fatherchinery@ascensionnyc.org or Nick Walters at nwalters@ascensionnyc.org for more information, or call them at the church at (212) 254-8620. This is a fun and rewarding ministry!

Parish News: October 18
This week, the rector introduces this Sunday’s opening hymn, Geoffrey Studdert-Kennedy’s celebration of the common and wondrous things of earth, as we commission our fall stewardship canvass callers. Written by a chaplain who knew war’s cost, the hymn calls us to join the stars, the lark, and the dew in praising God’s generosity, and to give and give again as God has given to us.
