Advent bible studyThe Thursday evening bible study group is discussing a new book for the Advent Season, The First Christmas, co-authored by John Dominick Crosson and Marcus Borg. It is lovely, accessible theology that beautifully expands how we define some of the words and images we’ve long cherished, and in ways that makes them even more significant in our lives! Do join us – you’ll be glad you did! Thursday evenings in Advent, 7pm, in the rear parlor of the rectory.

Salt brings savor, preservation, and healing; light reveals truth and kindles hope—even when it feels vulnerable to shine. Jesus speaks in the present tense: this is who we already are, together, as the church. Drawing on recent courageous witness from clergy and neighbors responding to injustice, Mother Liz invites us to live our shared calling with courage, creativity, and compassion so that others may taste and see the goodness of God through our life together.
