Always and Everywhere: Exploring the Eucharist: Join us on Saturday, March 21 for a Quiet Day of entering more deeply into our sacrament of Holy Communion. We often forget that the Greek word “Eucharist” actually means “thanksgiving!” Through meditations on scripture and ancient church texts, conversations, and silence, we will be invited to delve into the spiritual and theological roots and dimensions of this central experience of Christian worship. We will gather at 10 am and conclude with an informal Eucharist, finishing by 3 pm. More details to follow.

Our leader for the quiet day is The Rev. Susan E. Hill, Spiritual Director and Associate Rector of the Church of the Holy Apostles. Susan has taught at Union Theological Seminary and leads workshops and retreats on spirituality and spiritual practices.

Mother Liz links this to Sunday’s gospel promise that we dwell in Christ and Christ in us—a mysterious communion revealed to those who love, inviting us to be present to the holy in the everyday.
