The Search Committee spent the winter months culling our pool of applicants down to a small group of candidates to present to the Canon for Transition Ministry. Our list of candidates has now been vetted and approved by Canon Tammearu and Bishop Dietsche, and we are moving forward with the interview phase. We will be conducting interviews with candidates over the next few weeks, after which members of the committee will arrange to visit to each one. We expect the interviews to be completed in mid-June. Mother Liz shares Joseph Fasano’s poem on soul nourishment as she heads on vacation. The poem teaches that our souls need exposure to nature, beauty, holiness, and connection—that they require tending through rest, reading, and attention to what has been forgotten. It reminds us to, from time to time, let our soul kneel “in a place that is holy like the simple cathedral of the willows.”
