This Sunday, September 22nd, we will receive Father Edwin Chinery’s formal “Vows of Ministry” to our parish at the 11 o’clock service. Also on the 22nd is the Panel of Proclamation with special guest Reflection speaker Stanley Weinberg. Please join us after the service at coffee hour as we hear from our summer proclamation speakers about their experience of proclaiming God’s word to the congregation. This year’s panel included Kevin Lippert, Barbara Head, Stacey Carpenter and Stanley Weinberg.

The Service Music for this Sunday and Organ Music Today, notes by Dr. Dennis Keene, Organist and Choirmaster, are found at the sidebar on this page.

September 29th is Rogation Sunday. Please join us as we bless and celebrate the beauty of our gardens with outdoor fellowship after the service and watch the children help plant new bulbs in our gardens.

Plan ahead for October 6th, the Blessing of the Animals, after the service in the front garden on Fifth Avenue. This is a special celebration of all creatures great and small. Big kids are needed to help with animals at the treat table and you can also have your photograph taken with your favorite pet.

Mother Liz links this to Sunday’s gospel promise that we dwell in Christ and Christ in us—a mysterious communion revealed to those who love, inviting us to be present to the holy in the everyday.
