For the 3rd Sunday in Pentecost, the Day1 radio program and podcast invited the Rev. Shelley McDade, Ascension's interim pastor, to its Atlanta, Georgia, studios. In 1945, a new program, “The Protestant Hour,” made its debut to American radio audiences with the mission to be the voice of the mainline Protestant churches. It has aired every week since and today is known as “Day1,” which can be heard on more than 200 radio stations across the country. (It’s also a half-hour shorter.)
