Join us for the 9 or 11 o’clock service this Sunday. Our Interim Pastor, The Rev. Shelley D. McDade, will preach at the 11 a.m. service. On June 9th Mother Shelley will be a featured preacher on Day 1 Radio, a national weekly ecumenical radio program with host Peter Wallace. It has been broadcast every week for 68 years, formerly as The Protestant Hour. The program will include interviews with Mother Shelley conducted by Mr. Wallace, executive producer. She observes that when Mary Magdalene mistakes the risen Christ for a gardener, we glimpse the deep interconnection of all beings—and when we touch creation’s wounds with reverence and compassion, we meet God. Quoting Robin Wall Kimmerer, the rector reminds us that “when we work to heal the earth, the earth heals us,” and invites us to deepen our love and commitment to our fragile, beautiful planet.
