Update from the Rector Search Committee

The first Parish Round Table Discussion on March 3 was a lively and productive session that provided important input for our Parish profile. If you were unable to participate, please sign up for the second session on Sunday, March 17. The sign-up sheet is in the Parish Hall. The hour-long discussions will start in the Parish Hall right after the service at 12:30pm. A sandwich lunch will be served.

The committee met last week with Canon Deborah Tammearu from the Diocese Transition Ministry Office for an in-depth briefing and discussion of the Episcopal Church’s process for a search for a new rector. She provided a chart, “Journey Through Change,” which describes each step of the transition. We will mark our progress on the chart and keep it posted on the bulletin board in the Parish Hall and on the web site.

We received over 100 completed questionnaires. Thank you for your replies. We are making good progress on our self-study project.

If you have any questions or concerns, contact one of the Rector Search Committee members: Meredith Ward, Chair; Eve Beglarian, Barbara Burns, Peter Clark, Janet Fisher, Ned Fitch, Sirkka Kyle, Jennifer Lemaigre, Ethan Mandel. Our e-mail address is search@ascensionnyc.org.
