Update on Donations for Storm Relief

Our parish is joining the Episcopal Diocese of New York and Long Island in an effort to assist the victims of Superstorm Sandy. Clothing is no longer needed, but there are requests for cleaning supplies, canned goods, can openers, diapers and feminine hygiene products. If you would like to help please bring the items to church on Sunday or drop off at the Parish Hall at 12 W. 11th Street, Monday through Friday 9am to 4:30 pm.

Financial donations should go directly to either Episcopal Relief and Development, telephone number 1-855-312-HEAL (4325) or the Red Cross, telephone number 1-800-435-7669 (1-800-HELP-NOW – U.S. only).

Thank you for your quick response to this growing need.

The Rev. Shelley D. McDade
The Church of the Ascension
Associate Rector

In a time of contempt for difference, Pentecost reveals the blessing of many tongues and the Holy Spirit’s gift of mutual understanding across culture, faith, and ethnic background.
