The Voices of Ascension are proud to be part of The Joyce Theater Foundation presentation of an evening of music and dance to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of 9/11. The performance includes Voices of Ascension and the José Limón Dance Company performing Zoltán Kodály’s Missa Brevis, as well as Orchestra of St. Luke’s and Paul Taylor Dance Company performing Brandenburgs (excerpts from Brandenburg Concertos Nos. 3 and 6 and Sonata for Violin and Continuo, BWV 1019), as well as Purcell’s Chaconne in G minor.

Voices of Ascension sang the Missa Brevis in June in an emotional and moving performance. If you love this piece, you’ll especially love it when paired with the artistry and choreography of the José Limón Dance Company.
