The Right Rev. Herbert Donovan, a retired bishop of the Diocese of New York, much loved by our congregation for many decades, will be our welcome guest on June 5 as we “translate” the Feast of the Ascension to the following Sunday and welcome new members into our parish, communion and the household of faith by baptism, confirmation and reception.

Please join us for a special Sunday service at 11 a.m., with a full choir, as we celebrate The Ascension of Our Lord (the feast has the same name as a certain mural you may want to check out that day, if you haven’t visited us before), welcome Bishop Donovan and new members to our parish, and then entertain one another with a special reception following the service in the Parish Hall.

The rector invites us to sit with these mysteries during the “dazzling darkness” between Ascension and Pentecost, pondering how we are held and hidden with Christ while called to be his presence in a world of crisis, wonder, and grief.
