Presiding Bishop Michael Curry has invited Episcopalians to take up The Way of Love, a rule of life focused on practices for Jesus-Centered Life. This Advent and Christmas season, we will explore these practices through two chapters of the gospel of Luke and conversation about our own faith journeys. All are invited to join after coffee hour on Sundays December 9, 16, 23 and January 6, 2019. You need not come to each session, and there will also be opportunities to practice and reflect at home! She treasures hearing parishioners read “God’s deeds of power” in many languages during worship, and invites us to consider what it means to speak of God in our own heart language—whether shaped by mother tongue, place, trust, or profound shared experience. In a time of contempt for difference, Pentecost reveals the blessing of many tongues and the Holy Spirit’s gift of mutual understanding across culture, faith, and ethnic background.
