Please join us for the next Sunday forum in our series featuring members of our parish who make art in a variety of media. The forum takes place after the 11am service. Our hope is to explore how making art expresses and forms our spirituality, and perhaps along the way to ponder what it means to be made in the image of an infinitely creative God. This forum is led by our own Bora Yoon, a choir member, sound artist, vocalist and composer, and also offers a tantalizing taste of what she will be doing at her concert with theraminist Armen Ra here at Ascension on Friday, May 5. Don’t miss it! Tickets for the May 5th concert are available at http://soundsoftheascension.bpt.me/

Parish News: October 4
For St. Francis Day, Mother Liz shares Galway Kinnell’s poem about St. Francis blessing a sow, reminding us of the sacred work of “reteaching a thing its loveliness.” Through tenderness and touch, we honor the intricate beauty in all creatures. May we see and bless the loveliness in all God’s creation, including ourselves.
