Welcome Nick Walters, our summer seminarian! From June 28-July 27, we will have Nick Walters with us as summer seminarian.

Nick has just finished his second year of seminary at St. Stephen’s House, Oxford, and comes from Yorkshire. As a candidate for ordination in the Church of England, he is particularly interested in learning more about the Episcopal Church and looks forward to immersing himself in parish life and getting to know folks at Ascension.

Before starting seminary Nick was a primary school teacher in an inner city London school, and worshiped at a church with a strong social justice tradition. He is eager to see how we are engaged with our neighborhood as well.

Nick will be introducing himself at a parish forum next Sunday, July 3. It’s a holiday weekend but if you’re in town, please plan to stay and get acquainted with him then.
