If you are looking for opportunities to give of your time there are several volunteer openings available. We are looking for tutors for our Monday after school Tutoring Program and on Tuesday and Saturday mornings in our Food Pantry. Beginning in November through May there will be openings for Tuesday evening homeless shelter volunteers. If you are interested in any of these opportunities please contact Mother Shelley. Father Ed shares his deepened meditation practice from July, describing how simply abiding—being present without judgment—becomes a place of refuge and peace. While this personal solace is valuable, he emphasizes the greater intention of cultivating universal compassion and equalizing self with others. He invites us to reflect on our own refuge and how faith deepens our practice of loving-kindness.
