During the academic year, the Sunday school meets during the 11 a.m. service. During the first part of the service (before the first lesson), children ages 4 and older are invited to the Sunday classrooms for their own lessons, returning to the church in time to take communion with their families, and then returning to the Sunday school to finish their classroom activities. For younger children, nursery care is available from 10:30 a.m. until the end of the and 11:00 a.m. service.
Our skilled Sunday school teachers offer a curriculum for the older children which changes from time to time. For example, the older Sunday school students are reading through the Gospels, starting with the Gospel of Mark. (The Sunday school readings and discussions are based on materials available online for parents and students who want to keep up with the Sunday school’s progress.)
The younger students have a Bible story read to them and then do an art-and-crafts project.
